We searched the internet looking to find out how to transfer all the emails that were in a webmail account.
A client asked that we transfer their website from one hosting company to another, and they rely heavily on using webmail to access their emails when they are away from their office
They’ve been using “Horde” and there’s no reason why the same system should not work for “Squirelmail”. There’s lots of forums that say you cannot import your emails from a webmail account.
This is how we transfer webmail to Outlook Express
1. Go to Outlook express
2. Set Up a new identity
3. Follow prompts
3. Select IMAP as incoming mail server ( not POP )
4. Continue prompts
How hard is that? !!!!!!
All your emails will be sucked in from your webmail account. This includes your sent items and draft items. You’ll need to set it up for each different webmail account.
Our client is now happy that they have not lost the email database caused by moving their website from one hosting company to another. They could import their webmail emails, transferring all their emails from “Horde” to their Outlook Express Account on their Windows PC.
What about Mac? Maybe somebody else has the answer and give us some feedback

These days it doesn’t cost much to build a quick small business website.
There’s plenty of free templates available on the interent, and buying a domain name now only costs a few dollars
Our client wanted an inexpensive website to get him started. So after registering a domain name, organising web hosting, he’s up and running.
Better than a website, you can get yourself a content management website, so you can add stuff, edit stuff, and change stuff whenever you like, and not have to wait for your web designer to do it when they have some spare time.
The next step is to build a Squidoo Lens about your small business. You can list your products and services, and hours of operation.

Our client was approahed by a web development company wanting to buy their domain name. The website has been operating for a number of years, and receives a steady flow of traffic. Our client asked what we thought would be a reasonable price to sell the domain name.
“Isn’t the domain name also your business name?” Well, yes it is. “So you do want to sell your business?” No, they did not.
“Well, put in a silly price, and see what they say!” So the client did just that and got a response at half the price. It was a case of take it or leave it for the potential purchaser, but the important thing is that negotiations had started.
After some swapping of emails and a number of telephone conversations, the deal was getting closer to being finalised.

Just like all our clients, George asked us if we can knock up a “Cheap” website! Well, the short answer is “yes” we can, but why not get your six year old kid / grandkid to do it instead.
These days there’s so much cheap software and free web templates available, that anyone can “knock up” a website. Just have a quick surf and see for yourself.

Yes I can fix your website. What seems to be the problem?
