Small Business Advertising Budget

A common question is “How much money should I spend on advertising?” Many small businesses set out full of enthusiasm having launched a new business. There’s no money left in the kitty, and there’s not much cash coming into the business.

So what is a low-cost economic strategy to generate some new business? Small businesses that you deal with as a customer tend to be a great source of clients. These contacts are often overlooked. Here’s a list of businesses that are traditionally small, that you might have used at one time or another. As you are reviewing this list, note the names of businesses that you want to notify in regard to your services.

We recently started working with a golf coach who was launching a new business. Initially he had some local clients that he was coaching. He realised the potential of his business was not just the local market, but there was a national, and international market.

The Gold Coast of Australia is the tourist strip, the holiday center of Australia. If people will fly there for a holiday, then people will also fly there for golf instruction. The business has gone from strength to strength, with very little money being spent on advertising.

So how was that achieved? Through some very effective strategies that we put together with our golf coach, to capture a hungry market. There’s students flying in from China, HongKong,Thailand, India and even Europe. They’re all coming for golf instruction at the Gold Coast Golf School.
